Don’t go and eat fish at the restaurant after a long period of wind, the boats can’t go fishing and the fish could be frozen. The central summer months are not the best time due to the crowd, but usually the only time to avoid is the 2nd end 3rd week of August.
If a restaurant is open for dinner before 20:00 it is usually a place for tourists

On the beach of Pittulongu, few km north of Olbia, there’s this restaurant right on the sea, cool in the daytime and romantic under the stars. Pasta and pizza are their best things, but every fish recipe is well done. If you rent an umbrella on the sand in front of the restaurant you can eat almost in the water.
In the fishermen village of Golfo Aranci, there’s this excellent restaurant at the port right on the water, it gives the sensation to be on a boat. Row fish, clams, oyster, lobster, and fried fish are their best plates. The wine list is rich: several local Vermentino white wines and a large selection of champagne.
When the wind is from the north and the sky is clear you see Corsica island from the window of this family-owned restaurant at Capo Testa, beside Santa Teresa. It’s not a place for Tourist and you eat only fresh fishes, the grill is the best of Sardinia. The appetizer is traditional but every time we go over there we eat different things.
This restaurant right on a pond few km north of San Teodoro works like a farmhouse in the countryside but of course, with fish, you can’t order, everybody eats the same menu. The advice is to don’t eat too much at the beginning of the meal because they’ll bring you more than 10 courses and the best came at the end. Traditional dessert and Mirto liquor.
This is a luxurious and sophisticated restaurant at Baja Sardinia, by the sea, romantic under the stars. The service, the food, and everything is excellent. It’s not cheap. They’re famous for their raw fish recipes, but pasta, grill, salad,… really good food. We are in the Costa Smeralda area so don’t dress in shorts and flip-flop.
